INDIANAPOLIS (October 4, 2023) – The Horizon League announced on Wednesday that it will continue its partnership with Officially Human for the 2023-24 academic year, including an event at the 2024 Horizon League Basketball Championships, further contributing to the Major Impact the League desires to make around sportsmanship and respect toward officials.
Why it Matters: The Horizon League was the first conference to partner with Officially Human. The two organizations have collaborated on three events in conjunction with previous Horizon League Basketball Championships in Indianapolis.
Officially Human exists to restore respect to, and positive treatment of, sports officials through increased education and communication to all stakeholders (administrators, coaches, and fans).
The organization is focused solely on game officials with a foundational goal to keep game officials on the fields and courts for generations to come.
