November 8, 2023 – Lombard, IL – Officially Human has partnered with the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) it was announced today by Brenda Hilton, Founder & CEO of Officially Human, and Dean Myrick, Commissioner of the ACCC.
“In my first conversation with Commissioner Myrick, he was clear that he wanted his conference to be leaders in this space at the Community College level, forging conversations that officials are human and should be treated as such. I look forward to building out programs within the ACCC membership to promote officiating as a craft and “humanize” those working their competitions.”
Officially Human CEO Hilton also currently works for a Division I collegiate athletic conference. She spent 11 years with the Summit League (formerly the Mid-Continent conference) and overall 22+ years working in major collegiate officiating.
“The ACCC is excited to partner with Officially Human, as we raise awareness and restore respect for all game officials, while promoting sportsmanship to all parties. As the nation deals with officiating shortages and lack of respect for officials, the ACCC looks to be the example and driving force for the rest of the two-year college athletic programs, regions, and conference across the country. We must not be idle in watching the disrespect and abuse of game officials continue. Officially Human, Brenda, and her team will be the ideal organization to help deliver that message.”
